All of you are to be congratulated for a historic achievement - contributing $106,322 to the Alumni Fund in our 45th Reunion year! The amount exceeded last year's by 249% and was more than double the old record for a 45th reunion class. Class Agent George Emery turned in a magnificent performance, ably assisted by President Jack Kenerson and a great team of assistant agents.

After six years as Class Agent, George is going to take a rest and Bill Lary of Sunapee, N.H., has agreed to take on the job. Bill has served several years as an assistant agent. He retired in December 1971 after having worked for Texaco since graduation.

Your copy of the new '28 Directory should arrive soon. At the rate you fellows are moving, any directory is subject to correction between the time it goes to the printer and the time you receive it. Here are a few corrections:

Frank and Mary Folsom have moved from New Jersey to Ward, Colo.... Budd Maring suddenly decided in August to become a "man of leisure" and he and Mildred moved to 575 Main St., Chatham, N.J.... Hsi-Jui Shen's new address is 18 Macdonnell Road, still in Hong Kong ...

Jerry Sloane has moved from Manhattan to 6 Lynn Road, Port Washington, N.Y. ... RemKinne whose travels begin to rival those of RoyMyers and Bill Harris, adds a summer-fall address of Box 111, Bolton Landing, N.Y.

Bill Morton, president of the Onondaga County Savings Bank in Syracuse since 1958, has been elevated to chairman of the board. He will continue as chief executive officer. His successor as president is Russell C. Carlson '48.

Larry Martin, who retired a year ago as chairman of the National Shawmut Bank of Boston, was awarded the honorary degree of Doctor of Humaine Letters by Northeastern University at its commencement last June.

Jud Moulton and Kewp Munson's widow, Betty, were married March 14 in Phoenix, Ariz. Jud met Betty at the Yale game last fall. They are living in Jud's house on Staten Island. Jud retired December 31 as vice president and general counsel of A.T. & T., but on April 1 joined Cadwalader, Wickersham & Taft, 1 Wall St., New York.

Joe and Margaret Tidd have fulfilled a dream of long standing and built a house on Balch Hill in Hanover. Joe retired as a plant pathologist in the research department of the Asgrow Seed Co. and they expect to move from Hamden, Conn., to Hanover soon.

Frank and Anne Hankins missed Reunion because they were on a "bare boat charter" from the British island of Tortola in the Virgin Islands. Their son Tim '62 was with them. Tim is doing research under a grant from the National Science Foundation and has been doing something in connection with this research at the huge radiotelescope at Arecibo in Puerto Rico.

You vacationers let me down - I'm sure more than three of you visited Europe, but the only reports are from Jack and Cornie Herpel, who toured southern England, Herm and MargueriteSchnepel who had sparkling weather on their literary tour of England, and Roy Myers who said Scandinavia was frightly expensive. Roy was making a special language study. You already speak French, Spanish and German how many more?

Dave and Alice McCathie had an auto accident August 7 in which Alice took the brunt - multiple rib fractures, concussions, cuts and bruises and was in intensive care for 17 days. The hospital is 75 miles from their home in Ridge Manor, Fla., but Dave makes the trip every day. He hopes to have her home by the end of September.

Mab Milliken died July 25 in Wilson, N.C. Memorial services and burial will be in the Bahamas. Mab had cancer of the throat and as soon as it was diagnosed over a year ago they moved from the Bahamas to Wilson. Our deep sympathy goes to Roy and their children, Anne, Mary and John.

Chuck Eastman died June 23 in New York, of an aneurysm. We extend the sympathy of the Class to his widow Natalie.
