Craig Haines writes from Southbury, Conn., "We had our winter Dartmouth alumni association meeting in the next town December 19. As usual '28 had the largest representation of any of the classes." Present were the Baviers, Van Ripers, Fields, Kilgores, Hoefles, and the Haines. The Drakes missed because they are baby-sitting in California.

We haven't heard recently from CreightonHart, but a philatelist friend of ours tells us he is known worldwide for his collection and among other things has the most complete set of U.S. "first issues" in existence.

Roy Myers, Professor of Modern Languages at Kean College in Union, N.J., spent his holiday vacation in Portugal and the island of Madeira.

Another active educator is Bill Hunt. He was retired (obligatory) at 70 by Loyola University of Chicago in June 1974 and took a one-year position at the Learning Center at American University in Washington. Then he obtained foundation financing for a two-year study of innovation in higher education and is back at Loyola with an office in the Psychology Department. He is also consulting for the National Heart and Lung Institute and as a result occasionally gets back to Washington. In addition he is on the Research Advisory Committee of the National Council on Alcoholism.

Our only classmate who devoted his career to acting is Ted Baehr. Bill and Barbara Morton attended a performance of his play, Mornings atSeven, in Syracuse and praised it highly. The next day Ted and Bill had a very pleasant couple hours at lunch reviewing some of the things that have happened to them over the past 40 years. Ted's son (Dartmouth '69) is also closely connected with the entertainment world.

George Emery and daughter Lisa spent the holidays with George's daughter Susan in Boston and while there saw the Kenersons and Nixons. On the way up from New Jersey they had lunch with the Billings in West Hartford and on the way back lunched with the Haines in Southbury, Conn. Cal and Genie Billings' son Sam '70 has a new job with the Regional Planning Agency in Essex, Conn.

Dick Frame reports the arrival of grandson No. 2 in Lexington, Ky., on November 1. Dick has been teaching two nights a week at the Antonelli School of Photography in Philadelphia. He and Margaret enjoyed a visit with Curly and Allene Prosser in Canaan, N.H., in November.

Joe and Ruth Smith of Sanbornville, N.H., (where it is below zero at this writing) are enjoying five months at Cresthaven near Palm Beach. They were recent dinner guests of Bruce andThelma Lewis, and Joe enjoys the monthly luncheons of the Dartmouth group of the Palm Beaches at the Ramada Inn. Bruce and Joe are thinking of arranging a meeting of their group with alumni on the West Coast at some spot between East and West. (If it's early in April we'll be there!) Driving south in November, the Smiths visited their younger daughter in Simsbury, Conn., and while there Joe had lunch with Bunny Goodrich.

Two alumni associations are headed by '28ers this year. Don Solis is president of the Dartmouth Club of Sarasota, Fla., and Parker Chick heads the Cape Cod Dartmouth Club. Parker and Kitty are making their annual pilgrimage to Naples, Fla., in January and will attend Dartmouth club meetings in that area.

It is with sadness that we report the death of Elliott Donnelley on December 29 and CharlieHazzard earlier in the month, both in Delray Beach, Fla. Hordy Gifford, Sam's wife, died of cancer December 10 at North Shore Hospital, Manhasset, N.Y. The deepest sympathy of the Class is extended to their families.
