Don Solis has bowed out of the presidency of the Dartmouth Club of Sarasota after two years in which he did an outstanding job. Don Hobbs '31 is taking his place. George Klein was elected treasurer at the March 22 meeting.

Art and Freda Nightingale moved last month from Marco Island ("Marco Island and Naples were growing too rapidly.") into a small town on the East Coast 20 miles south of Cape Kennedy. They are in a high-rise condominium directly on the beach. Their address is 800 North A-1A, Indialantic, Fla. 32903. They are planning on attending the 50th.

Gertrude Heep is remarried and is now Mrs. Charles Wolcott, 6 Brooklands, Apt. 5-D, Bronxville, N.Y. 10708. He is a retired physician

Lou Pelletier writes from Santa Monica in reply to our birthday card and note: "I'm not really working. I kind of putz around actively. I teach a class in screen writing at Cal State, jog a mile every day and play tennis and try to keep track of two teenage stepdaughters. I also have plenty of time for reading."

A card from Hawaii indicates Sam Gifford finally took a month off and will get back to the paper business in New York April 18.

Ben Heftier goes west for one or two weeks of skiing each year (Snowmass Resort, Glenwood Springs, Colo., this year). He continues at his job as an engineer in Detroit and works around his house, which leaves him with very little spare time.

It looks like George and Lib Holbrook are breaking the '28 record for number of grandchildren with 16. Each of their five daughters and two sons has one or more children, the youngest being five months old. Grandchild no. 17 is expected in May!

Paul Annable retired a little over a year ago having sold Connecticut Research Associates, Inc., in Danbury. He spends time there as a consultant. After several years as director and owner of the Anderson Montessori School, Jane has retired. Paul has sold his plane because they found they were not doing much flying. His greenhouse, gardening, and playing the organ keep him busy. Jane has taken up art, so they both are busy.

Van Curll of Laguna Niguel, Cal., and DaveMenard of Wheeling, W. Va., have written that they are looking forward to attending our 50th.

I want to thank all of you who have sent cards and notes this winter showing concern about my health and appreciation for the birthday cards (sorry some of them didn't reach you on time). I've been back at work regularly since January - am looking forward to seeing the '28ers at the annual class officers meetings in Hanover May 6-8.

Although John Lawrence of Periwinkle Way Park, Sanibel, Fla., hasn't been able to resume his golf, he still pulls his crab pots and makes deviled crab and keeps busy hooking rugs.

Jerry and Rachel Sass of Rolling Hills, Cal., thoroughly enjoyed the opportunity of having Jack and Cornie Herpel (plus their son, daughter-in-law, and two active grandchildren) spend a day at their place. Jerry said: "What fun to have Jack play the piano and sing - as if it were only yesterday that he entertained so many of us for those four wonderful carefree years at Dartmouth."

Clint Whittemore died November 30 and Jimmy (Harold L.) Fowler died March 11 in Englewood, Fla., both of heart attacks. The Class extends its sympathy to their relatives.
