About 30 members of the Class attended our usual fall gathering which was held in Hanover on the weekend of the Penn game this year. Most were accompanied by wives, the weather was mild and pleasant, and the football game full of action even though the final result was not what we would have ordered.

The formal meeting was held in Reed Hall on Saturday morning at 9:30 in order to permit attendance an hour later at President Kemeny's question and answer session for all alumni.

Those present were Charlie Moore, Larry Leavitt, Herb Talbot, Ford Whelden, Bob Borwell, Bob McKennan, Ed Roessler, Doug Archibald, Bill Jenkins, Lang Spring, George Newman, Don Hunt, Milt Emerson, Don Kilby, Ed Ober, Tom Carpenter, Blair Gilbert, Ed Burns, Bill Boies, Mott Garlock, Bob Meginnity, George Zahm, Frank Kennedy, Rad Tanzer, and Curt Abel.

Others seen at one or more of the functions during the weekend were Francis Brown, JuneBryant, Porter Roberts, Gordon Churchill andClaire, his charming Canadian bride of last spring and Mrs. Cooper Rhodes and Mrs. CarolineJones. If we have missed anyone, please write the secretary a letter and tell him all about it.

The Class meeting was called to order by President Charlie Moore and he reported on behalf of Treasurer Lane Goss that a full financial report had been sent to members of the executive committee. This report showed a surplus of $4,941 on August 1 of this year.

Herb Talbot reported that he expects to send out a class newsletter this fall.

Ford Whelden advised the group that the Class has crossed the million dollar mark in both Alumni Fund and Bequest giving, and the five million mark in total giving to the College.

George Zahm, reporting on the Alumni Fund for 1973, said that we had missed our goal by a narrower gap than last year and that if we could have gotten the late gifts in before the end of the campaign we would have made our quota. A disappointing note was that our participation was the lowest for our group of classes, classes;

President Moore stated he would appoint a committee in January to direct activities in connection with our 50-year gift to the College in 1975. This committee will not commence solicitation until after the 1974 Alumni Fund campaign.

Ad Winship '42, Director of Development for the College, then addressed the meeting on the subject of the 50-year gift and presented an outline of the program as it has been operating, including a delineation of results achieved in recent years.

So much for the actions of the meeting. There were two dinners this year, both in Alumni Hall of Hopkins Center with other classes in a joint cocktail gathering before dinner. At the Saturday night party our class had as guests Professor and Mrs. Stockmayer and Professor Dick Eberhart '26 and his family. Both men had held the Class of 1925 Professorship. The incumbent was unable to be present on account of an out- of-town speaking engagement. Other distinguished guests were Tom Csatari '74 and his attractive Judy Burrows. Tom is an all-Ivy defensive end and has been the 1925 scholar under the Borwell Fund scholarship.

Larry and Dot Leavitt invited all members of the Class to an informal gathering in their home in Norwich following the Saturday night dinner, and this brought an enjoyable conclusion to the weekend activities.

A note from Ford Whelden reveals, "There are ten rooms available for the Princeton Weekend next year Friday and Saturday, October 11-12, 1975 at the Holiday Inn. A check for $44 will reserve a room, send to me at Elm St.. Norwich, Vt. 05055. First come, first served. Other than these ten rooms all other rooms are already taken.

"We also have the Dartmouth Outing Clubhouse reserved for a great dinner for Friday night, and a part of Alumni Hall for another great dinner on Saturday night, with the Faculty Lounge in Hopkins Center reserved for our own use after the dinner.

"Even if you already have room reservations anywhere, or plan to be up for the weekend Friday or Saturday, we must know how many want dinners on Friday and/or Saturday. Won't all of you please (and now) write us of your plans or hopes?
