Walter Furman, faithful worker for '08, spent a couple of weeks in California and brought back first-hand information from Mrs. FlorenceRichardson, who is rebuilding her life, accompanied by her sister. Correct Florence's address to read: 52 No. Highland Ave., Los Angeles, Cal. 90036. Unfortunately, Walter had a fall late in May and suffered a broken leg. John Hinman has had a busy and jolly season, spending the month of July at Prout's Neck, Me., followed by a visit to his native land, north Vermont. We had a delightful meeting with Ted Barnes and his daughter Ann, assistant treasurer, in their home in Norwich, Conn. Ted, who has been living a quiet life for a matter of two years, looked and acted like himself of olden days. He send greetings to all.

Mabel adds: "I'll make a good reader of him, you can bet on that. I am just the one to jockey him into reading the Bible and Shakespeare in 10 lessons."
