One hundred '17ers started the year 1974 right by sending their class dues to Treasurer Vic Smith. There are still some to come, so keep up the good work. You will not only receive the Alumni Magazine, but will help support the monthly gift of this publication to our loyal group of widows.

May we ask whether any classmate knows anything about our Tracy Dibble? Your secretary would appreciate any news about his condition, as word has been received indirectly that he has been confined to a hospital for treatment for some time.

A happy Christmas note from Harold (Friday) Bean states that he is looking forward to additions to the roster of grandchildren. We believe that he has the class record of over 20. He tells of a seven-course dinner following the marriage of one of his grandsons - a far cry from our diet at the Commons.

Jane Swett sends greetings from Florida. We hope to see her this winter and check up again on Gil, who at this writing shows no improvement.

Forrey Emory, who has probably been in the investment business in Boston longer than any of his Dartmouth contemporaries, still makes the trek to his office three days a week. He mixes business with his favorite avocation, farming, that is, at his residence in Durham, N.H.

An encouraging note from Bill Eaton's sister, Mrs. Isabelle Hulin of Dunedin, Fla., assures us that our ex-chairman is doing quite well.

Ray Allen apparently has an intriguing, busy schedule, winter in Connecticut and summer in Vermont. So far, we haven't been able to catch him fishing, but will keep on trying. How about sending in a newsy letter, Ray?

A Christmas card from Walt Walters shows that he is ready to try local customs. He is pictured smiling happily while astride a camel in Morocco, where he and Phoebe vacationed after a surgeon's convention in Spain.

Our mild winter weather in Vermont has been most unseasonable, but eases the local energy problems. As the thermometer drops, chew your vitamin pills and use some of your energy to support Len Reade in his upcoming drive. A Happy New Year to you all.
