Recently I have come across neighbors who have had contacts, in earlier years with 1915 classmates. Our friend, born and raised in Wisconsin, had been a high school classmate of Ed Mabie. Even in those days Ed was a leading debater. My next door neighbor, who had lived for many years in Green Bay, Wis., had known Dan Daniell and his family of four daughters quite well. It is interesting to find out how many times new acquaintances locate friends or people whom we have in common.

Upon returning to Rossmoor in early October, I was concerned to learn that SammySanborn had gone into the hospital. He had been having difficulty in regaining his strength after an operation in Singapore while on a 'round the world tour last winter. We trust that there will be more encouraging news by the time this issue of the Alumni Magazine goes to press.

Word from classmates would be very welcome so this column could be expanded from time to time.
