We were pleased to get some more responses to Dale's birthday greetings to classmates. George Ingalls writes from Boulder, Colo., that he is enjoying his new location in a nice retirement home with a beautiful view of the mountains from his apartment. We were sorry to learn that inroads of arthritis have required him to give up his car. The good news was that successful eye operations have enabled him to do sustained reading, which he especially enjoys. We trust that he will be able to come east to our 65th reunion in 1980.

Word from Don Howe reported extensive traveling on the part of Rachel and himself, during which travels he called on classmates as far apart as Dale Barker on Cape Cod and George and Madelon Dyke in Wyoming. He reported enthusiastically about the cozy home of the Dykes and the gorgeous view from their windows. We can understand why the Dykes enjoy spending a part of each summer out there.

A very nice note from Carol Ann Crotty, niece of Bob McHale, acknowledged receipt of the birthday greetings to her uncle just prior to his death on September 16. An obituary for Bob has been written up for the ALUMNI MAGAZINE.
