Early deadlines and late mails make it difficult to report currently on class activities during the football season. A bus was planned for the Yale game, October 9. The big weekend is in Hanover, October 15-16 for the Harvard game. A parade and Dartmouth Night festivities Friday. A class meeting Saturday morning. A cocktail party at College Hall for the Class, friends, and undergraduate sons and daughters after the game. In the evening, a banquet at the Norwich Inn. There will be a cocktail party after the Columbia game October 30 in Hanover at Bill and Nancy Johnson's home. November 13 after the Princeton game there, Kester Pierson is arranging a party. More details on everything will be in the newsletter.

George Haigh was elected president of the Toledo Trust Company, the largest banking institution in North-western Ohio. George moves over from the presidency of the DeVilbiss Company, a division of Champion Spark Plug. He joined DeVilbiss in 1956 and was elected president in 1972. George is a director of Champion, Toledo Trust, North- west Ohio Bankshares, and Lakeshore Industries, Inc., a trustee and president-elect of the Toledo area Chamber of Commerce, a director and vice chairman of Toledo Red Cross chapter, a trustee of Toledo Hospital and of the Toledo Museum of Art. George said he is making the unusual move as head of a major industrial corporation to head a major financial institution because he feels he can do more for his native community from Toledo Trust than from DeVilbiss. He has a particular interest in the re-development of downtown Toledo. A Toledo Trust spokesman said that George was selected because there was no heir apparent for the presidency inside the bank and that he has the experience, the community exposure, and the administrative background necessary for the

Blake Hering was elected to the Alumni Council representing district 1, Region VII, Pacific States.

Dave Horlacher has completed his assignment with the Economic and Social Commission for Asia and the Pacific in Bangkok. He is returning to teaching at Susquehanna University this fall. His oldest boy graduated from Bucknell University in June.

Dave Burner is heading up the probate and estate planning area at Chadwell, Kayser, Ruggles, McGee and Hastings in Chicago. This summer the Burners had a French exchange student stay with them.

Mayes and Larry Branett are back in the States after living in Europe for over 15 years. They're in Westport, Connecticut. Larry is head of the international group of Harvey Hubbell Company, a diversified electronics parts manufacturer.

Dave and Beverly Halloran are coming home also. The great adventure of two years in Germany and a year in Switzerland is over. The opportunity to travel through all of Western Europe and some of the Middle East has given the Hallorans a whole new perspective on "this beautiful thing called life." They return to the sunny shores of California and the deep powder of Mammoth.
