Clara, the widow of Leslie Farr, died in Concord, N.H., January 21, 1975. She had been in poor' health even before her husband died in 1961. Since then, she had lived, an invalid, in Concord. As long as she was able to write, she sent short letters to members of the Class, and regularly sent a memorial gift to the Alumni Fund.
During the holidays the secretary received, directly or indirectly, messages from three classmates. There were also cards or letters from the widows of Bob Clark, Rob Cushman, Harry Hill, and Jimmy Huntington. In addition he had greetings from a daughter or a son of each of these men: Herb Adams, Karl Brackett, Charles Dudley, Louis Dow, Roy Hatch, George Hubbard, Arba Irvin, and Bob Leach.
A relayed report says that Cyril Smith broke his hip about the-first of the year, and was taken to the Hahnemann Hospital on Commonwealth Avenue in Brighton, Mass.
On his 95th birthday Hermon Farwell again realized that it is not always a disadvantage to be born in Christmas week. As he lives with his son Fred, he could share in the festivities of that holiday, but to have Fred's-entire family stay on to watch him blow out the candles on his cake, he had to cut that cake very carefully in order to provide 20 slices.
I regret to add that news has been received at the last moment of the death of Albert HermanDalrymple on February 7 at his home in Wellesley, Mass. A more detailed report will appear in a later issue.
