This will be a short report as the year winds down.

Many of you may have noticed Rog Parkinson's picture on page three of the March 24 issue of Newsweek. The magazine had just switched to computerized photocomposition of its pages, transmitting them from video terminals in New York to production plants in the United States and abroad. Rog, as director of special projects for Newsweek, supervised the search for the right firm to install the complex system. But am certain Rog would agree with me that putting out The 'D' was at times just as complicated.

Colonial First National Bank of Red Bank, N.J., has named Charlie Parton executive vice resident. Charlie had transferred to the bank last year from a Newark bank where he was assistant head of the mortgage department. He had been living in Summit and will move this spring to Rumson.

And furthermore Carl Wright has been fleeted second vice president and tax director for Union Mutual Life Insurance Company of Portland, Maine. Carl is now responsible for the tax compliance of all domestic Unionmutual companies. He has been with the company since 1967, serving as an assistant actuary, director of policy owner services, and tax director. His career has also included service with Equitable Life, NYC, and a year as a U.S. Army Intelligence Research Specialist.

Norm Buchsbaum has become a partner in the law firm of Weinberg and Green in Baltimore.

There must be more.
