The great conundrum of our times - do old soccer goalies just fade away? - has been answered: They just fade away. The pooped proof is George Scott, who stopped here with his family while retreating back to Riverside, Conn., following his appearance in September's alumni soccer game. Kitsy, sons George and Sam and daughter Katie watched as the varisty humbled George three times in the second half of an 8-0 victory. Not bad, really. But the worst part of the day was already behind George after Whitey Burnham put him through a rigorous pre-game shooting drill - merely to satisfy Burnham that his former back-up to Dave Smoyer would not be endangering himself in the actual contest. It takes guts, though, to go back in the nets after more than ten years. And George sure had the guts. So, by the way, did Steve Chase, who also came up from Boston to play.

George recently left the Greenwich law firm he had been with for several years and is practicing solo. He also is town counsel and toying with local politics.

Mike Vale, now with the Phelps Stokes Fund in Washington, writes that he returned to the States last year from Tunisia, where he spent almost four years as a program and training officer for the Peace Corps. "A delightful country and a stimulating experience," he says.

Rick Braddock has been named a senior vice president at First National City Bank of New York. He is responsible for marketing in Citibank's New York Banking Group and the bank's upstate banking organization.

Before joining Citibank in 1973 as a vice president, Rick was marketing manager for five major brands at General Foods in White Plains, N. Y. He and his wife Shelley live with their three children in Greenwich.

We can just about celebrate the first birthday of Bill Greilsheimer's first daughter Deborah Lynn to go with son Jeffrey last November 30. Bill is a member of the New York law firm of Schwartz, Burns, Lesser and Jacoby.

Another thin month. Write me before the postal rate goes up in December.
