It was very interesting to learn that Lura Kenyon and Harriet Ahern visited Ted Redington and family at Laconia, N.H., several weeks ago. Ted looked wonderful for his 91 years, and he gets around. Congratulations are due to Lura for the nice job she did on the Alumni Fund in 1976. I hope she keeps well as always.
Your secretary attained his 92nd birthday on Sunday, September 19, 1976. I was presented a birthday cake after the close of the morning service of the Unitarian parish, and I received applause and greetings from fellow parishioners. I have served several years as a trustee of the local West Upton church. [That's not all: we have a newspaper clipping about George's 92nd birthday party which describes a long life of community service, past and present. Currently he serves as election deputy warden in Worcester County, Mass., and in the past has been especially active in the local Red Cross chapter. The clipping also mentions his basketball and baseball days, days of glory playing at Dartmouth and coaching in Maine and at Harvard. His wife of 52 years, the former Ethel Slocomb, was at the party too, of course. - Eds.]
Please keep your letters coming my way, so I will have news for all of you good folks. How about our 70th reunion in 1977?
I miss Joan Hier! She was very helpful
