Dean Francis H. Bird spent Christmas with his son John C. Bird '44 and family at their home in Mountain Brook, a suburb of Birmingham, Ala. He got back to his home in Cincinnati, Ohio, the day before the big snow and sub-zero temperature hit the city. Remembering his early training on Cape Ann, Mass., he kept warm by 'putting on several layers of clothing and came through the coldest January on record and the heaviest snowfall of record in good shape.

Reg and Molly Colley in New Jersey used the cold weather as a subject to tell how they were spending the winter.

Harold S. Clark and Bert French had their record of playing golf every month of the year on Cape Cod shattered at 5 years with the January snow and ice.

Dot Worthen, son Tom '42, and family spent Christmas with a grandson who has a dairy farm adjoining the family retreat in Canada that Joe so loved.

1909's class list now stands at 18. Nine live in Massachusetts. The Alumni Records office has a list of 26 widows and daughters who have not replied to requests for verification of addresses. In some cases they are living with sons who are Dartmouth men. Please help to have the records accurate?
