Back in the cold days of March I attended the 113 th Annual Dinner of the Dartmouth Alumni Association of Eastern Massachusetts with my wife Pat. The highlights of the evening included President Kemeny's excellent talk on the continuing need to support the College and the special fund drive to supplement it, a standing ovation honoring retiring Trustee Chairman Bill Andres '29, and some marvelous ragtime selections by Professor James A. "Jelly Roll" Sykes at the piano. The first classmate we ran into was Moe Frye and we agreed that there should be enough classmates in the greater-Boston area to win the prize for the class with the greatest number in attendance (which was won by the Class of 1976). Others present at our table were Bert and Beverly Glovsky who live in Beverly where Bert is a partner in the law firm of Glovsky & Glovsky; Bob and Carol Allen who live in Lincoln (Bob is director of public relations at Kendall Company in Boston); and Sherm Crough who is a wool dealer with a company in Boston (the Bentley Company) and one in Houston, Tex. Next year I hope that many more classmates will be able to attend and enjoy the good fellowship we shared that evening.

Word has come from Bob Katherman who moved to Richmond, Va., a year ago from Sioux City, lowa, to become executive vice president of Interbake Foods, Inc., corporate headquarters for four biscuit and cracker plants, one of which he was associated with for many years in Sioux City. He has two grown and married children, is traveling extensively in a marketing capacity but trying to reduce his schedule and let the young lions beat the pavement! Bob is living in a new contemporary house in Richmond opposite the 17th green of a gorgeous golf course and admits to generally growing old, fat and bald as gracefully as possible. Join the club, Bob!

Dr. Robert C. Taymor has been appointed as director of medicine at Peninsula Hospital Center, Far Rockaway, N.Y., where he has served as director on a part-time basis since 1971. He was a Menke research fellow and a research and clinical assistant in medicine from 1951 to 1956 at Mount Sinai Hospital in New York City.

Frank Hutchins writes that his firm, Hutchins/Darcy, recently signed a letter of intent to merge with Young & Rubicam, the largest U.S. advertising agency. Their name will change to Hutchins/Y & R by mid-summer.

Please keep the news coming and above all remember to contribute to the Alumni Fund and relieve the anxieties of our head agent, JohnLeggat.
