The 1977 Alumni Fund is now well underway and '57s fund team headed by Class Agent Chuck Winslow is already hard at work. The key men on Chuck's able team are Ron Judson, heading a special committee to develop new contributors; Pete Wardle, heading the special gifts committee; John Citron, head regional agent; and Chuck Schroeder, fraternity agent. Chuck Schroeder is involved in a somewtunique concept in that he is organizing the '57 fraternity officers into a group who will be contacting members of their respective fraternities in regard to the importance of the Alumni Fun? We wish you and your committees and agents the very best for a most successful campaign.

Incidentally, were you aware that in the 76 years since the Alumni Fund was started a most impressive $149 million has been contributed to Dartmouth by its graduates? Of this amount the Class of 1957 has contributed $626 thousand.

John W. Blades, who is with Vick International in Paris, France, has expressed concern regarding the new income tax law that affects expatriates so adversely as they must pay income taxes both to the United States and to the country of residence. Many multinationals John claims, will be rethinking their policy concerning the utulization of American expertise outside the United States on a semi-permanem or resident basis.

John advises that his wife Ann and daughter Jessica Elizabeth are both very fluent in French but that he hasn't done as well, although he can order a meal and seek directions to the W.C.

Daniel B. Goggin of Chelmsford, Mass., represented Dartmouth College recently at the inauguration of John Bernard Duffas as president of the University of Lowell in Loweli, Mass. Dan is president of the Merrimac Valley Dartmouth Club and also regional head of the Merrimac Valley's alumni interviewing committees.

We hear from Edward L. Spetnagel that he. his wife, and three sons, ages 17, 11, and 6, are alive and well and living in Cincinnati, Ohio, desperately looking forward to a pleasant summer.

Scott Paper Co. has announced that Philip E. Lippincott has been elected a senior vice president and was selected to assume executive responsibility for the packaged-products division and will become a member of Scott's corporate policy committee.

Peter C. Buswell is chairman of North American Steel Corporation located in Lakeland, Fla., and specialists in metal pipe and plate fabrication and in complex equipment such as scrubbers, evaporators, heat exchangers, flashcoolers, and launderers.

Dr. Dennis J. Sanidas, specialist in radiology and nuclear medicine, was recently elected president of the medical staff at Tobey Hospital in Falmouth, Mass. Since 1967, Dennis has been on the staff of Tobey Hospital and the Falmouth and Barnstable County Hospitals, and has also been a consultant at Otis Air Force Base. Commenting on his role in medicine, Dennis stated that he is pleased to be a part of a new and rapidly growing field with its many technical innovations and its close alliance to both mechanical and electrical technology. Dennis resides in Falmouth with his wife Sylvia and children Brett and Amy.
