By now your plans for the sth reunion of '72 should be complete, since the festivities are less than a month away. The early indications are that the turnout will be heavy, and with the looks of what Bud Lynch has planned for us, it looks like the weekend of June 17 will be something to remember.

Dennis Cronin was one of the sponsors for the Tenth Annual "Festival of Canns" held recently in Arlington, Va. This festival first attained notoriety in Boston, Mass., in the late 1960'S. Each participant in the festival enters a brand of ale, beer or malt liquor by calling a sponsor, to avoid duplication. That night each brand is tasted along with several other brands in numbered glasses. The winners of these heats then vie against each other in the finals, which determine which brew will be selected as "World's finest." Well over 100 different brands are entered, and the winner in 1977 was . . . Den undoubtedly had to take substantial sick leave from his job as an attorney for U.S. Customs in Washington, D.C., in order to coordinate this worthwhile event which, incidentally, donates all its empty cans to worthy charities in the D.C. area.

George Perry was referred to in the Littleton Courier as a "noted skier and ski coach" in an article inviting all to hear and see George's slide show of his travels through Australia and the Near East, Feedback indicated that George's presentation was a tremendous success, and he denied again (vehemently) that he was engaged to a wallaby. Peter Benziger is studying at the American School of International Management in Glendale, Ariz., in contemplation of an international affair. John Christenson has been awarded a National Science Foundation grant which he will use to do graduate study in engineering at the University of Minnesota.

Bryant Toth is interning in surgery at H.C. Moffitt Hospital in San Francisco. He has received word that he has been accepted into the Harvard orthopedic program, and will begin his residency at Mass. General in July 1978. In addition, Bryant is engaged to Jill Henderson, a Stanford grad he met in Frisco, and they plan to walk the aisle in June.

Jon Fauer has just returned from South America, where he worked as a cameraman on a series of public-service television spots and documentaries on poverty, environmental, social and medical problems. The trip took him to Colombia, Bolivia and Brazil. He will soon leave for Upper Volta and Ethiopia to shoot similar films. Jon spent much of last fall shooting "Muskie for Senator" campaign commercials and covering the Ford and Carter campaigns for the U.S. Information Agency. PaulHodes amazed me with the note he dropped to the Class. He's in his second year of Boston College Law School, but has found time to put together a rock group and cut a demo which got some airtime on some local Boston-area stations. If that wasn't enough, he now has himself a role in the Boston Arts Group's production of Hot L Baltimore. The real grabber is that the show runs from April 21 to May 21 - right through his final exams. If he lives through that, practicing law will be a cinch for him.

Ghort and Frodo have been behaving rather well, although they occasionally disagree as to how the steak bones should be divided. Ghort received a message on a tin can from Mehitabel, along with a picture of her. As he munched on both, I noticed a distinct purring - could well have been love at first bite....
