Well, another winter is down the chute and spring fever is in full swing and sight.

Our most consistent relayer, First Lieutenant Gretchen Kent, who gained (or is it captured?) that rank last July, will be in Germany attending a conference in May. Gretchen relays: "Anyone stuck in Texas, let me know." Sounds inviting.

David Brown lived for seven months in a dirt- floored room in a tiny Tibetan refugee settlement in Nepal while teaching English to local schoolchildren. "Tibetans have no word for privacy ... there would be people waiting for me to wake up in the morning." Sounds like what females from Butterfield say about Beta.

Bill Hutchinson, circa Christmas 1978 from Athens, Greece: "I'm just being a bum in Europe for a few weeks." Little does Hutch know he doesn't have to go to Europe to be a bum. Head Coach Tom Fleming's Acton-Boxboro (Mass.) High School hockey team was making a drive to be number one in Massachusetts (as of this writing in early March). They have advanced to the Boston Garden - the big time.
