I received the following note from the Medical School and I pass on parts of it to you.

"Rumor has it that Bowen blood has returned to the Hanover Plain. Dr. Channing Bowen's daughter began this year at Dartmouth Medical School. It seems that Judy is really enjoying herself and finding out what was meant by those Dartmouth stories she used to hear. From what we hear in Hanover, the Bowens in Spokane, Wash., are doing as well as their daughter in Hanover.

"P.S. As judged by us, Classes of '75 and '78, we thank you Dr. Bowen for your contribution to Dartmouth. Judy fits as a true Dartmouthite and a special one at that."

I have to confess I cut out some snide remarks about a lack of letters from Channing; everyone knows fathers are great letter writers.

Word has filtered up from Connecticut that Colin Gunn has recently become a trustee of St. Luke's School in New Canaan. Colin and his wife Mary live in Westport where he is a practicing attorney. He is counsel for the Educational Foundation of America, an officer and director of R. C. Bigelow Inc. and Brooks Communications, as well as a trustee of Pren-Hall Foundation and for the Nature Center for Environmental Activities Inc.

Also from down that way I-learned that Norton Virgien recently purchased half interest from his partner in the Heritage Group, real estate agents with several offices in the Greater Hartford area. Norton is a past president of the Greater Hartford Board of Realtors and is currently a director of the Connecticut Association of Realtors.

We received a good letter from Stan Waterman and a picture with his son Gar '78 taken a few months ago while working together in the South Pacific. As many of you know, Stan specializes in underwater films and was recently commissioned by Survival Anglia of London to provide field work for a special on shark behavior which will be aired this spring on NBC. He reported that the last part of the production was done at Rangiora Atoll, northeast of Tahiti and part of French Polynesia. His son Gar worked with him as an assistant cameraman, although Stan reported: His heart is really in metal sculpture, but the work with Dad will provide some hard bucks while he is building his portfolio." I'm certain there are also some fine adventures involved.
