Two seniors, Beth Baron and Michael Colacchio, are sharing the duties of undergraduate editor and Whitney Campbell intern for the Alumni Magazine this year. They will write the "Undergraduate Chair" in alternate months and contribute several feature articles.

Baron, from White Plains, New York, is a history major and a soccer player. She has spent terms off from Dartmouth working on a kibutz in Israel and as a Tucker Foundation intern with the Sierra Club in San Francisco. Colacchio is a classics major and a rugby player, and, like Baron, has taken part in the Dartmouth Outward Bound program. He spent a year away working in the operating room of a hospital in Englewood, New Jersey, and sharing a house with a 70-year-old black Baptist preacher. Colacchio is from Mahwah, New Jersey.

The Campbell internship was established in memory of the late Whitney Campbell '25 by his classmate Robert Borwell to provide undergraduates with practical experience in journalism. It started in 1974 and now is part of a general internship program involving students in the work of several College departments. The position of undergraduate editor for the Alumni Magazine dates back to 1911.
