The bucolic beauty of the Hanover Plain beckons us. Springtime is upon us and it won't be long until the members of the class of '75 reconvene after a five-year hiatus. How different things are since we first met as a class back in 1971!

The dates of the reunion, for those of you who are reading your first '75 class notes since graduation, are June 13-15. Jeff Little is in charge and is planning a great event.

This month, once again, Bob Hittle bailed me out with plenty of information from class dues slips. Before turning to other things, I must report on 'Nimal's fourth annual Valentine's Day bash. Classmates in attendance included Craig Williams, Fred Kriebel, and John Feeney. According to the host, "much love potion was drunk and many a headache was felt the following morning!"

Many items of interest this month are about lawyers. John McFadden is clerking with the Honorable Bailey Brown, Sixth Circuit Court of Appeals in Cincinnati. Catherine Wilson is in her second year of practicing law in Pendleton, Ore., as one of the tribal attorneys for the Umatilla tribe.

Tom Davies was married to Ruth Moser in Beeville, Tex., on June 10, 1978. They are now in Austin, where Tom, following graduation from law school at the University of Texas, is working for a term with the Supreme Court of Texas. Jim DeLanis finished law school at Vanderbilt and worked for a year as a clerk for a local civil trial court judge. He is now employed as an assistant attorney general, criminal division, for Tennessee and is living in Nashville.

Among the graduate students in this month's column is Tom Delancey. Tom recently wrote, "After bumming for four years in various grad schools and in various subjects I finally decided where the money is and am currently at Cornell Business School. My wife Hammeke (she's Dutch) is also at Cornell in environmental engineering." Al Barstow is in his third year at Columbia University studying for his Ph.D. in anthropology. According to Al, "Being a grad student in New York has its ups and downs. Being so close to all the great things the city has to offer and not having the time or money to indulge is the biggest bite of all!"

Some of us are not in graduate schools or law. Judy Geer recently raced for the U.S. national rowing team in Europe. They were fifth in the double at the World Championships in Bled, Yugoslavia. When she wrote, Judy indicated that she was training for the Olympics in Moscow. Certainly the boycott concerns her and we all wish her good luck.

Terry Tyler and his wife Mary moved to the Boston area in September. Terry is with R. R. Donnelly and Sons in the magazine group. The Tylers have a daughter Katie, who is approaching two years old. Marty Kenner and his wife Pam have moved into the house Marty built in Brookings, S.D. Marty is teaching at the local junior high school.

Bill Glass has been living in Geneva, Switzerland, since graduation in September 1976. He is working as a raw materials supply coordinator for the world's third-largest perfume and flavor manufacturer. Bill wrote, "Our name is not on the bottle, however; we only create and mix the perfume essences which the retailer will then dilute, bottle, advertise, and sell under his name. Few retailers have anything to do with perfume creation; they merely choose between various submissions. Interestingly enough, and despite France's reputation in the realm of perfumes, of the three largest perfume manufacturers, the first is American and the next two are Swiss!"

The Travelers Group Department has a field sales force of over 350 people in 116 offices all over the country. Every year we run a sales contest for the field staff who are responsible for selling employee benefit programs to corporate customers. In 1979 the top producer for the country was our very own Bob Ehinger. Bob's achievement is truly remarkable because he was competing against veteran and proven producers in all areas of the country and beat his nearest competitor by over 47 per cent. He is located in Detroit and is available for those of you who need a loan at a reasonable rate.

That's it for this month. Don't forget to increase your Alumni Fund contribution for our reunion year.
