A card from the class notes editor, Dana Grossman, informs me today, April 28, that I have another set of notes due for the June issue on May 1. I'll be late, but at least I have tried.
From Bing Whitaker came the news that he has been reliving 1916 to 1920 by reading the Ernest Martin Hopkins story. That caused him to get out his old "Mem" book and discover things and events he had quite forgotten. Bing, by the way, is serving another term (his fourth, I think) as leader of the St. Pete Dartmouth Club.
Sad news from Warrie Gault's sister that she and Warrie had hoped to join us in June, but that it is not to be, due to Warrie's failing health.
Sig Sigler wrote from Florida that his T.A.G. campaign for the Tuck School was eminently successful, and he was very pleased with the outcome. Nice work, Sig!
Jimmie Parkes wrote that he hopes to join us in June provided his son Jim can drive him to Hanover. It seems to me that the Parkes con- tingent was the largest at our 55th, was it not, Jim?
Frank Corbin added a footnote to my College Hall story on Art Sleeper 'l7. At a big Dart- mouth affair in Chicago some 25 years ago, a husky, tall fellow walked up to Corb, who had lived in College Hall in 1916-17, and introduced himself as Art Sleeper, the man who once hobbled the corridors of College Hall on crutches.
I have been carrying on some delightful cor- respondence with Dean Travis. Our latest ex- change has involved trying to identify two Dart- mouth men who appeared on some Dartmouth literature. One was Fletcher Clark 'l2; the other not even Dave Orr '57, assistant secretary of the College, could identify. Can anyone help me out?
