It is probably going to be the holiday season before anyone picks this issue up in his or her mailbox, so greetings of the season and best wishes to everyone for 1982!

And as the years go by, our tenth reunion becomes more imminent. So, ready or not, we have to begin making plans for the great event. Our tenth will offer all sorts of opportunities for classmates to introduce spouses, show off child- ren, and discuss the myriad paths that our respective lives and careers have taken. But what we need right now is a volunteer or volunteers to spearhead the effort. So give it some thought and contact me if you're interested. I'll then pass your name on to the class executive committee. By the way, as a preliminary move we are currently hoping to have a mini-reunion sometime next fall. You'll receive further notice about that through this column.

As for class news, I recently learned that class president John Hauge has left his job as an investment banker at Lehman Brothers in New York and has joined the management of GTE in Greenwich, Conn. His responsibilities include financial strategic development. John went to Oxford and then graduated from Harvard Business School before joining Lehman Brothers.

John Jenkins recently started a new job as proposal manager for Electronic Data Systems in Bethesda, Md.

Tim Booth has assumed the campus pastorhood at Mankato State in Mankato, Minn. Tim and his wife Connie have two sons-Caleb, four, and Joshua, three.

Rumor has it that Gregg Brown has moved from Houston and is now enjoying the balmy breezes ©f Marina Del Ray in California, where his apartment overlooks the ocean.

I doubt that George Ritcheske's life has been quite so tranquil since his wife Bobbi gave birth to twins, John and Katie, in October of 1980. George works as group director of personnel management with the accounting firm of Coopers and Lybrand.

Another classmate with one of the nation's Big Eight" public accounting firms is Dee Balle. Dee was recently promoted to manager of the audit department of the Phoenix office of Ernst and Whinney. Dee lives in Phoenix with his wife, Mickey Ann, and three children, and he is presently enrolled in the M.B.A. for Executives program at Arizona State University.

Chris Ley is busy with his program at Cornell Medical School in New York City. And he and his wife Janette are probably even busier with their son of several months, Duncan.

Dale Pope has returned to his hometown of Edgerton, Wise., where he is a partner in the firm of Roeth, Buhrow, Roeth & Pope.

Phil Brown graduated from Wharton Business School with an M.B.A. in May 1980. He is currently employed as a member of the management team at a 460-bed acute-care teaching hospital in Allentown, Pa.

And finally, although it's no longer news that Ken Tyler married Lynn Anthony (U.N.H. '75) in September 1980, I recently was provided with the following list of Dartmouth "witnesses, celebrants, and extraneous debris" (as Ken refers to them) who attended the ceremony: best man, Jim "Jwat" White '72, Tom Lane, MarkGrazino, Soph Carinas, Dan Moors '72, Doug Shufelt '74, Alec Owen '76, Mark Totman '72, Leon Gallant '72, Tom Sokolowski '76, Rick Sample '74, Fuzzy Thurston '72, Gary Prisby '74, Dave Banta '78, Neal Tyler '43 (Ken's father), Bill Thornton '52, andjimjoynel '49Talk about welcoming a bride into the Dartmouth family!

Well, that's it for this month. Have an enjoyable holiday, and please contact me if you're interested in helping with the tenth reunion.
