In recognition of their extraordinary consistent support of the College, Boynton Merrill,George F. Ingalls, Herbert S. Potter, and EarlE. Clough each received a pewter replica of the Paul Revere bowl from Alumni Fund Chair Bob Brace.

Received a note from Paul Rothery advising he had called Paul Vining on his 87th birthday. Though it is difficult for Paul to walk without resting after a few blocks he continues to work in a law office from ten to about four o'clock. However, this zero weather has been especially hard for him. A card from Isaac Carpenter's wife, Fredericka, advises he is more or less bedridden, with nurses around the clock. Cards from classmates would be most welcome. The widow of Frank C. Ekstrom, who is now Mrs. Rudy Schmitt, writes that she and Rudy attended an elder hostel in Alaska last August and enjoyed it very much. They took the Veen-dam up the inside passage and stayed overnight on the Glacier Bay Explorer. Her daughter Karen and son Peter attended Frank's fortieth reunion in 1955. Chink Chamberlain had severe back trouble early this year and was confined to bed for a while but advises he is now able to sit up in the afternoons and have dinner with June. He is sure that as soon as the warm weather comes along he will begin to feel better and stronger. Hope he will be able to attend Class Officers Weekend in May. Boynton Merrill will celebrate his 90th birthday on July 21. He and Virginia are well and enjoying a quiet life in the very fine retirement center where they live.

The College was notified of the death of Mrs. Howard O. Stearns in December 1980.

Thanks to the postals sent out by Duze Lounsberry, some news has been coming in, but. we would like to hear from all classmates and widows.
