Until I got my May issue of Ring Magazine I was a bit short of material on my charges, i.e., you. But, alas, after reading how Don King gets his hair to stand on end (he puts his hot comb in cold water while it's on), I found a real gem. To anyone who knows and loves Paul "The Mauler" Centenari and Eugene "The Pembroke Powerhouse" Teevens, as we all do, seeing a full-page spread of them going at it is quite a treat. It was a scheduled three-rounder in Cambridge, Mass. The fight was clean and both fighters emerged without permanent damage, they insist.

The week following the tilt I had the good fortune to spend a week skiing in Vermont with The Mauler and several other of our brethren: Tim Taussig, Rob Brace, and Bob "Zena" Watterson. While some debate the merits of domestic vs. foreign automobiles, this foray into the Green Mountains convinced me that company-issue vehicles are the best for all purposes. While Tim's Fairmont had some trouble on the beginner slopes, Bob's P&G-issue Citation handled even the expert trails with great facility. Tim was quite excited because he is currently engaged to the Katie Gibbs valedictorian from the class of 1972. She is divorced and has several kids. A June wedding is planned. Tim's parents, especially his doting mother, are quite excited. I guess that will be enough on my friends; let's talk about your friends.

Speaking of your friends, anyone who would claim Neigel Key as a friend would be interested to know that Neigel has bought a domicile in Scarsdale; in addition, he purchased a lifetime commuter pass and a Neiman-Marcus luxury picnic set for weekends in Hanover. Now Neigel needs someone to prepare hot soup and chicken salad for all of his buddies in Hanover.

It seems that Paul and Buddy are not the only '79s who are responding to the closing bell; Carol Anderson (Standard and Poor's) and Steve Terrell (Shearson) are breaking (or whatever they do) stocks and scampering at the final bell. In a related vein, Tim Taussig is cashing dividend checks at a rate that would make your head spin.

Time for the medical corner. John Orloff and Duff Horton are double dating co-eds from St. Michael's and going to medical school at U.V.M. Charles Thomas is at the University of Illinois College of Medicine. Eric Washington 'BO and Sheldon Caesar '78 are also going to school with Charles. Sue Karol is at the Medical School of Wisconsin and teaching Milwaukeeans how to put green dye into tap systems. Angela Kalisiak is negotiating for more vowels in her name and going to medical school at U. Conn.

We have more than a paira paralegals in our ranks. Jill Kschinka, who needs more vowels in her name, is working as a paralegal in Boston. Bill Barron is doing the same type of work in Boston. Bob Ng, who does not know or care what a vowel is, was in the accounting program at Northeastern the last time I saw him. BillMitchell, who went through the same program, complains that Bob used to request to sit next to him during exams.
