The Alumni Fund is off to a good start but will still require a lot of help from everyone if Dartmouth and the class of '47 are going to maintain their excellence. Our goal for this year is $65,000 and 325 donors (54 per cent participation rate).
As of April 17 we were running some $9,000 and 15 donors ahead of last year's pace, and while we went over our dollar goal last year, we fell short in participation. Even though the campaign will be almost over when you read this, there will still be time to send a gift for this year's fund. Re-examine what the Dartmouth experience has meant to you and your life, and then if you have not already done so mail your gift to Hanover.

Ending on a sad note, I'm sorry to report that George Gerrish died suddenly in March. We extend our sympathy to George's wife Jean and their four children, James, Meg, Susan, and Anne.
Have a good summer, but before you go on vacation make sure you have helped the Alumni Fund.
