The Campaign for Dartmouth, which has now raised $90 million toward its $160-million goal, has appointed two able '47s to chair various areas of the country.

Alan Epstein will chair the south Westchester region. Al has been active in class and College affairs since graduation, including an eight-year stint as our head class agent. He has also found time to use his talents in the community. Currently he is a director of the county symphony, and in 1978 he received the Brother Patrick B. Doyle Award for distinguished service to Jona College. At the same time, A 1 is vice president and branch manager for Drexel, Burnham, Lambert Inc. in White Plains, N.Y.

Dick Shribman of Swampscott, Mass., is in charge of the North Shore campaign area. Dick is president of the Norick Realty Corporation and the Ricknor Realty Corporation, both in Salem. Besides having given years of service to the class and College, he is active in the community. Currently he is a trustee of the board of investment for the Salem Savings Bank, trustee and vice president of Salem Hospital, and past president of the Salem Chamber of Commerce.

The Wall Street Journal reported that Robert H. Snedaker Jr. has been elected president of United Telephone Systems Inc. Bob was also elected executive vice president of United Telecommunications Inc.

To round out the good news for spring, the Farmers Bank of the State of Delaware has elected a new president and chief operating officer. He is Robert H. Allen. Bob has been with Farmers since April 1978. He joined the bank as executive vice president after 30 years with Girard Bank of Philadelphia, where he was executive v.p. for retail banking. He assumed similar duties at Farmers and, in July 1979, became responsible for corporate banking, support services, corporate planning, and personnel. He was elected a director in April 1979 and serves on the board's executive committee.
