Dr. Ignatius Tikellis of Wilmington, Del., writes that he is now president of the Medical Society of Delaware and vice president of the Board of Medical Practice of Delaware. Son Jim is in his second year of residency in general surgery at the New Jersey Medical College (Newark) and daughter Pam is an attorney and clerk in the Court of Chancery of Delaware.

Eugene Bronstein is now in his eighth year of teaching marketing in the School of Management (and in the M.B.A. program, as well) at Boston College. Prior to his teaching, he was vice president and general merchandise manager for Filene's. He has just published a book on career and job strategies for M.B.A.'s and has developed a consulting practice in marketing.

Had a nice visit with Jim Shute, who was in Hanover recently with son Stephen for Dartmouth interviews. After a long career with Republic Steel, Jim took early retirement last fall and has formed a new company, Main Line Sports Inc., in Berwyn, Pa. The firm markets energy-saving polyethelyne plastic sport surfaces for use in rollerskating and basketball. When sprayed with a silicone coating, the surface can be used as a very good ice skating rink. Called Lenn-Ice, the surface can be used for ice skating even with temperatures as high as 80 degrees. The rink can be ground smooth with a Zamboni-like machine and resurfaced as often as required. He has just completed an installation at the Dugway Proving Ground in Utah. Jim has been a long-time ice hockey coach at Berwyn High and a hockey referee, and he still runs the Philadelphia Hockey Training School for 150 coaches and advanced skaters for a twoweek period each summer.

Ed Scheu has been very active in Dartmouth and community activities in Hanover since his arrival here, and he has recently been elected a trustee of the Mary Hitchcock Hospital.

Ashley Burner has moved to East Dennis Mass., and is active in the Dartmouth Club of Cape Cod. "I've been a year-rounder here just short of two years and too young to stay retired I'm getting involved, working for the Better Business Bureau of Cape Cod and the Islands. Also, I've just been appointed an alternate on the town board of the Council on Aging. Memories of my years at Dartmouth are among my best haven't made a reunion since the 20th, but am planning on the next one.' He shares the views of some others about the volume of fund-raising mail coming from Hanver, but acknowledges the College's need for the support of its alumni.

George Morgan writes of his move from Oregon to Gainesville, Fla. ("Gatorland"), where he has become the city manager "living in the East for the first time in 35 years."

Roger Foster of Lunenburg, Mass., was at Marco Island early in January on a real estate consulting assignment and returned home just in time for the big January snow (which missed northern New England completely). Roger is selling his insurance agency to son Scott and plans to visit Hanover more frequently.

Bob Hodes reports that son Paul '72 has left his legal assignment with the New Hampshire attorney general to enter practice in Exeter, N.H., with Kearns Colliaider.

After completing a football officiating assignment, Bill Schulting collapsed on the street in Passaic, N.J., with a heart attack. He still is not certain of the seriousness of the attack but finds activity completely restricted for the time being. Daughter Andrea is carrying the ball for him while continuing her M.A. studies in elementary education. Let us hope it will only be a short time before Bill can return to his normal vigorous schedule.

Walt Emmett writes from Amarillo that "business is good and getting better. Have more buyers than sellers . . . having a hard time finding good profitable businesses to sell . . . have added a new division to our corporation . . . it is called Business Appraisal Services . . . we do computer appraisal/analysis of small businesses for individual owners, attorneys, banks, and trust officers . . . wherever there is needed a third party appraisal." Walt concentrates in Texas, Oklahoma, and New Mexico, but can operate anywhere that is needed.

Please keep in touch. Best regards.
