Greetings, in this wettest spring for years. All this rain should help the grass to grow more abundantly and the trees to grow more leaves, so those of us who mow lawns and rake leaves look ahead with great anticipation.

The past few editions of this piece have neglected weddings, marriages, and births, so in an attempt to put things in their proper perspective, herewith follow some recent additions and multiplications. Tom Eckles wedded Alison Knowles on December 11 in Seattle. James McDonnell, otherwise known as Dougal, announced the birth of daughter Katherine Louise last summer. Henry Moore reports that he and Jan have a son, Gregory Douglas. Hank says Gregory came in as a tiny fellow, at a mere nine pounds, ten ounces. I wonder how Jan would describe the young fellow's size. Chip Dawkins was married last September 20 to Jane Mathison in Warwick, Bermuda. Chip works at Hilton Head in residential marketing.

On the academic front, there is still news. Dave Stephenson reports that he has finished his Ph.D. in cultural anthropology, and, seeing even greener academic fields in which to graze, has now finished his second year of law school. Cassandra, his wife, has been a practicing trial lawyer for ten (is that right, Dave?) years, and they are expecting their first child this summer.

From down south comes news from GregYadley that the mayor of Tampa has appointed him to serve on the Arts Council of Tampa, which Greg describes as a blue ribbon panel which provides guidance and expertise in matters artistic. I will avoid temptation, and look for great things out of Tampa.

The mail, after showing promise, has once again wilted sadly away. In fact, about 331/3 per cent of the mail was from Charley Monagan, who wrote to tell me that his name is not Chuck, as I had reported recently. Please accept my apologies, Charley. Even Fabian Ropogol was silent this month, I suspect waiting, as are many of the rest of us, for something to happen in the world of money, oil, and politics.

At any rate, I shall close by asking if anyone has seen, heard from, or bailed out of jail either Dick Pritchard or Jeff Pulis. If so, please write; and if not, also please write. Enjoy.
