Greetings, y'all. Your faithful scribe and spouse have now settled into the multinational melange that is Miami. Other than walking into something called a buffeteria and asking to hear "Margaritaville" before I realized that I was in a restaurant, my experiences down here have all been pleasant to date. Before I become mesmerized by the ceiling fan, I'd better move along to the news and save the chitchat for a slow news month. Thanks to trustworthy treasurer Stefanie Valar, the mailbag is loaded with news tidbits from class dues payments.

Kevin Keyes reports that after working as a salesman in the medical industry he's entering school to become a doctor of chiropractic. Kevin attended Frank and Phyllis Fezah's wedding last Memorial Day where he saw Chuck Hostnik, whose wife Gail recently gave birth to a baby daughter named Katie.

Mark Jacobs is living in Boston finishing up a residency in internal medicine before starting a cardiology fellowship. Mark passes along his regards to Robert Gong and JeffZesinger, whom he'd like to., hear from.

Needham, Harper and Sterrs Inc. has elected Gary Slack to the post of vice president. Gary's on a hot streak lately; he'll take over as the president of the Dartmouth Club of Washington, D.C., in 1984.

Here's an item that's hard to believe: Dabney Hofammann writes (no, not that part) that he enjoyed a visit with the "Thomas Parsons" (are there two?) at Sandy Ward's wedding fnuf said) in Highpoint, N.C. Unwilling to let the reader off the hook at that point, he continues by inviting travelers to Birmingham, Ala., to stop in and by insuring a plaintive (read plaintiff in my business) call for Tom Sonuza.

Back on planet Earth, Cynthia Ford and her husband Turner Paddock '74 have moved to Bainbridge Island, Wash., from Billings, Mont. Cynthia is practicing law in Seattle, while Turner is an exploration geologist looking for coal. They miss the big sky country and are preparing for the big rain in the great Northwest.

Jim Burns writes that he is busy with three things: 1) fathering nine-month-old Andrew, who "bears a striking resemblance to Jabba the Hut," 2) running a solar heating firm, and 3) grinding away as a first-year law student at Temple.

Solar energy is also a concern of Jonie Labombard, who's supervising the construction of a solar house in Hollis, N.H., and working in a children's museum. Her husband, Bill Noyce '75, is a principal software engineer with DEC in Hollis.

Matrimony claimed Jeff Plunkett and Robin Berman on August 7. Both "Plunks" and Robin are third-year students at Cornell Law School and are planning to practice in Boston after graduation. Attendees at the wedding included Dick Prentice and his wife Gail, Britt and Kip Hall, Rick and Mary Escherick '74, Mike Chermuchian '75, and Dave and Sabina Sheppe '75.

Kim Rosenau York '77 wrote to report that she and husband Bruce York have recently moved to Greenwich, Conn. They both commute into the Big Apple, where Kim works in the general counsel's office at Mobil Oil.

That's it for this installment. By the time this eagerly-awaited issue gets in your hands it'll be the holiday season. So, have a good one and an excellent New Year. Manana.
