Reunion is coming! Reunion is coming! Mark the dates on your calendar June 15-17. John Fisher, who is in charge of attendance at this not-to-be-missed event, recently revealed that we are well on our way to breaking a long-standing attendance record. To date, about 225 members of the class are planning to attend enough to make a really good party, but about 50 short of the tenth reunion record. Let's make this a truly superlative party! C'mon up to Hanover and party, meet a few old friends, or just hang out. See you there!
Our tenth reunion Alumni Fund campaign is moving along pretty well. As of February 24, we had already raised $58,000, with 20 percent participation. While the dollar amount is heartening, we still have a long way to go to reach our goal of $107,400 with 74 percent participation (and I'm sure we can surpass our goals with an all-out effort). How can you help? Make your reunion pledge or gift now! This will save the class agents the trouble of contacting you personally and will allow us to concentrate on the rest of the class.
News this month was pretty sparse. A news release from Continental Illinois Bank announced the promotion of Bill Hart, who was elected a vice president in the private banking, trust, and investment services department. Bill, who received his master's of management from Northwestern University and is a chartered financial analyst, has been with Continental since 1983. Congrats on the move up, Bill!
A clipping from the New Bedford, Mass., Standard Times brings the news that BobLang has been appointed to the staff of St. Luke's Hospital in urology. Bob, who also received his medical degree from Dartmouth, completed a residency in surgery at St. Elizabeth's Hospital in Brighton, Mass., followed by a residency in urology at the Lahey Clinic. Bob also maintains a private practice in New Bedford and lives in South Dartmouth (where else, for a Big Greener?) with his wife Kathleen and their son. Best wishes in your new position, Bob, and as one of my favorite pro- fessors used to say, "Do good!"
That's all for this month. See you at reunion!
