A very quiet month, with little in the mail box to fill a column. New Jersey had a bit of New England weather, with two-plus feet of snow arriving on February 11 (but, unlike New Hampshire, it really snarls things up for more than just a few hours!). However, the winter has been pretty easy in this area, with relatively warm weather and more rain than snow.

On with the news! Chris Nicholson dropped a line to the ALUMNI MAGAZINE, concerning her marriage to Cal Bowie '73 (as reported a couple of issues back). It seems that she managed to have a sizable portion of the alumni body attend the event, including Jim Miller, Candace Ingals, and, flying in from Hawaii, Roslyn Loomis. It must have been one heck of a party!

Word of John Wehner was passed along in the form of a news release from the Continental Illinois National Bank and Trust Company of Chicago, where John has been named a second vice president of the Continental Illinois Leasing Corporation subsidiary. John has been with Continental Illinois since 1981. Hearty Congrats!

Continuing with news from the Chicago area, adopted classmate Lonna Slaby is a television anchor on the WCIU-TV (Channel 26 in Chicago) program Stock Market Observer. Recently, Lonna received headline coverage in nationally-syndicated columnist Gary Deeb's media column in The Chicago Sun-Times. (Her on- the-air name is Lonna Saunders.) Prior to stepping into her current job, she earned a law degree at Northwestern University and practiced law. Keep the airwaves humming, Lonna!

That's about all the news for this month, but there is a bit of information I would like to share with you concerning this publication's photo policy. A number of you have sent in photos only to have them returned, unpublished. The MAGAZINE does not, by policy, print color photographs, wedding pictures or baby pictures. So don't be too upset when these are returned. In addition, they discourage the standard "drink-in-hand" shots. Now for the good news black and white photos, especially informally posed shots or pictures of unusual activities, are generally welcomed, as are head shots (business portraits) of your marvelous face if you manage to wangle a promotion, get yourself elected to some post, or so on. So don't be shy a photo or two really livens up the appearance of my column.

That's all until May, but for one last word please write!
