A recent telephone talk with PeteWheatley confirms that Al and Pete attended Alumni College once again this August. They are in hot pursuit of the record for most faithful attendance. In fact, they may already hold this record as well as the record for the most senior attendants. Pete reports that he had a good talk with Robin Robinson in Hanover.

Nat Ryder is still living in Middleboro, Mass. After many years as assistant treasurer of the Middleboro Savings Bank, he then went into the stock brokerage business, first in Boston and then in Plymouth. Presently he is retired because of two cataract operations and an arthritic shoulder. His wife, Sybil, plays the cello in the Brockton Symphony Orchestra. Their three sons and a daughter include John D. '62, who practices law in Middleboro. They have a total of seven grandchildren. Nat and Sybil are both very much interested in genealogy and spend considerable time and research in that field. Each of their families goes back to the Mayflower.

Ed Hawley tells me that he lost his wife, Aileen, on February 2. He says that his health is poor, that he cannot drive a car, and that his housekeeper also doesn't drive, so his car sits inside the garage. Ed retired from his paint business ten years ago. Ed says he has given away his golf clubs and abandoned his fishing tackle. In happier days, Ed was president of the Danbury Chapter of American Red Cross. He is also a past president of the Danbury Rotary Club and has been active in the First Congregational Church of Danbury.
