All signs pointed to an early spring here in the Northeast. The robins returned early, the Shad Bush turned green along the Hudson, and I set out my early vegetables because the ground was ready. I have a feeling everyone in this area has been eating Chiffon margarine and you know it isn't nice to fool Mother Nature. We have just had ten days of very cold weather topped off by the biggest snowfall of the year. Not much else to do but throw another log on the fire and finish this column.

Tom received his law degree from John Marshall Law School and is a member of the Illinois Bar Association. He previously worked for the American National Bank and Trust Co. of Chicago and G.H. Walker, Laird, Investment Bankers. Tom was interviewed by the Joliet paper on how the prime rate and the oil shortage would affect the Joliet area in 1974. He must be considering running for office because he answered like a politician. He was bullish on Joliet and extolled the area's transportation, labor market, and geographic location.

There's still time to get your name into the nominating committee if you have any interest in class affairs' Drop a note to Al Stowe at 3660 Lawrenceville-Princeton Rd. in princeton, N.J. 08540. With a little luck you could get this job for the next few years. The new committee will begin work during reunion but you don't have to attend to qualify. Let's all dig a lot deeper this year and come up with a tremendous effort for the Alumni Fund in a very crucial year. Dick Harrison and his team have put together a comprehensive program to commemorate our 15th Reunion, and I'm sure you will be contacted soon if you haven't already heard from your class agent. Hope to see you in Hanover this June.
