Congratulations to Skip Waterhouse and his determined group of class volunteers for a spectacular 1985 Alumni Fund performance. Our class exceeded our dollar goal by 23 percent and achieved our target of 70 percent participation. For the first year since our graduation, we led the "Green Derby" from the outset, eventually winning it handily. Thank you all for your generous participation.
Thanks are also due to Ed Heald for putting together our mini-reunion program. The first activity for the fall is the October 12-13 Colgate weekend. The '68 class meeting is scheduled for 10:30 a.m.; everyone is welcome, and the executive committee would appreciate new ideas and new faces. A potluck tailgate party is planned for noon, and a joint '68 - '69 reception with cash bar and hors d'oeuvres is scheduled at the Drake Room of Hopkins Center after the football game.
Ed notes there will be a BYOB reception at his room in the Hanover Inn, November 2, after the Yale Game and a tailgate party November 23 at Penn. Enthusiasm has been slowly building for an Aspen outing sometime this next winter; contact Ed (617/237-6433) if you are interested.
