The big news as we crash through the first years of our fourth generation concerns weddings. (At least that subject is the big winner in this office's mailbox.) Steve Hayes married Gayle Smalley this past August in Beverly, Mass. Gayle works as an assistant city solicitor for the city of Newton, while Steve is a lawyer with a Boston law firm.
Frank Governali and Terry Ann Scriven '7B tied the knot after a courtship that dated back to their Dartmouth days. They wedded in Bedford, N.Y., last June. Terry has settled into her first year of residency, which will eventually lead to the specialty of ophthalmology. Frank is in his second year as a securities analyst covering telecommunication industries for Kidder Peabody and Company in NYC. The wedding party included Scott Cooper,Meredith Schuster Noble, and Athena Moundalexis '78. Scott recently became a partner in the Boston office of his Providence, R. 1., based law firm. Meredith and her husband, John '8l, are living and working in Charlottesville, Va. Other classmates at the ceremony included the following: Ed and Dianne Holubowitch, who hail from Little, N.C., where Ed is a family practitioner; Ned Winsor and his wife, Judy Serkin, who live in Fairfield, Conn.; and Henry and Lissy Cooley, who inhabit Durham, N.H., where Henry is a minister.
Lastly on the wedding front, out in Denver, where skiing is second only to that which can be found in the mountains surrounding Duluth, Minn., Brian Deevy married Caryn Ostergard in a lovely cermony this past April.
On the parenting front, Rich and TamiBane have taken on the responsibility of their first child, Harrison Ross. Harrison arrived last May and weighed in at six lbs. ten oz. Rich has vowed to split his time evenly between class responsibilities and his offspring.
A quick note from William Polacheck says that he and Mary are the exuberant parents of a six lbs. eight oz. little boy, who also arrived last May.
That's the news as we have it here in Rochester, hub of southeastern Minnesota. Would enjoy hearing some exotic tales of classmates in action as we head into the reunion. Better get them in now; the next editor (to be chosen at 4:22 p.m. June 20th in Hanover) might not be so lenient with the written word.
