News From The Far North Jim Stein is still teaching skiing, building cabins, paddling canoes, catching fish, and working in commerical real estate, not necessarily in that order. He mentions Holly Allen as being recently graduated from McGill Medical and off to Nepal prior to her residency in pediatrics. Next we find John and Debbie Harris perfecting their skill with firearms in Quebec's northern woods prior to their move to California. And, although not a far notherner, Bruce Nickelsen is reputed to be exorcising dust devils from sacred rocks in the Argentinian desert.
News From The East Charles Laubach is still in Dubai, Saudi Arabia, but has found some friends, Vince Salvatore '76, among others. Charles has been working on a Dartmouth \club over there and hopes to line up a fall football game with the Dubai Dust Devils (or was that Bruck Nickelsen?). Anyway, I'm assuming that all went well with Charles's plans to attend Paul Hybel's wedding last August.
David Bridges has finally returned from Roma with bride and combat experience in hand. While over there, David's boss at the Sinai Multinational Peacekeeping Force was shot and killed by terrorists. It sounded like it wasn't easy going to work in a bulletproof vest every day. News From The West None. Hey, I know that you're all feeling left out. Don't worry, I'll take care of it.
News of You Know What Ed Heilbron got married in September to a certain Miss Deirdre Anne Garrity of Rye, N.Y. Ed's clearly marrying above his level of sophistication in light of Deirdre's master's in French literature from Middlebury (or Middleburoui, as they are prone to say). She now works as an assistant VP for Manufacturer's Hanover in New York. Ed graduated from Dartmouth (ah, but you know that) and works as an actuarial with Tandem Financial Group in New York.
News From The Over 30 Crowd Crossing into maturity this month were Chase Ashley, Michelle Lavigne, and John Bankhead. This is getting pretty tedious, isn't it? Hmm, I'll be back.
