The City Court of East Point is very much like "Night Court" on television. I recently had to defend a young man out there who claimed that he didn't have a driver's license because the arresting officer "burned it," and in the course of two months, the arresting officer "had planted marijuana on him." (That's my story and I am sticking to it). While we were discussing the merits of this defense near my car, I could see his buddy out of the corner of my eye inspecting my hubcaps, my car radio, my tires, and a variety of other valuables I truck around in the back of my Jeep. Ahhh the joys of being a criminal defense lawyer. In my next life I am going to be a dancer.
