Make plans now for the 30th reunion, June 15-17, 1987. Reasons to come to reunion are numerous. For example, it is a real thrill to meet a friend you haven't seen since June 1958. It happens every time you go to reunion. Also consider the pleasure to the sense of Hanover in early summer, a tangible reward for attendance. Next, think of those items on your personal agenda that you never attended to when-you were at Dartmouth. For example, take a leisurely walk around Occom Pond or jog on the track at the football field. Visit a professor who engaged your mind when you were an undergraduate. Reunions are similar to other gatherings. They are just what you make of them. You'll be glad you made the effort to come.

When the National Basketball Association banned two players for drug use in July, the independent expert who reviewed the evidence was Harry Dodds. After service as deputy police commissioner of New York City and work as a major foundation executive, Harry has made many weighty decisions during his career. No one could ask for a fairer person to handle this delicate assignment. Harry holds a law degree from Yale.
In the "if the shoe fits" department, a recent survey reveals that persons with incomes from $10,000 to $15,000 are 10 times more likely to make charitable contributions than persons earning $50,000 to $l00,000. While this class obviously bucks that trend, if you are still holding out, 1987 is the time to begin being generous to Dartmouth.
The late Bill Prescott's son recently was married in Hanover. Both bride and groom are Dartmouth alumni. According to Phil Wood, classmate Dave Stiles is the president of Watervliet Paper Company in Watervliet, Mich.
