Nick and Mary Sandoe and I spent a pleasant afternoon with Jim and Mary Davis. They are both well. It was full of reminiscences and laughs. Jim asked many questions about classmates and we filled him in to the best of our ability. Mary seems completely recovered from her hip operation.

John McCrillis and Bri and Louise Greeley attended the class officers meeting in Hanover.

A generous bequest from the estate of Helen C. Crosby, Al's widow, established a permanent endowment in Al's memory. Doris Cole, Howie's widow, established a trust in his memory. The class of 1919 has a total of 30 bequests and 13 life income trusts.

Eleanor McCrea continues to be in the news. Her picture was in the New YorkTimes, which said "The wine of her vineyard was in as much demand as it was two decades ago." The writer has stayed pretty much to home except for a few days spent at Kennebunkport, Maine, and a short sojourn to Cape Cod.
