In case you haven't heard, we set new records not only for most alumni but, also, for most people at a 60th Reunion. Setting new records at our 65th should be a breeze after this warm-up.

Honoring a request from Governor John Sununu, Lane Dwinell attended the Republican convention in New Orleans as a George Bush delegate. Although he had vowed that the 1984 convention would be his last, evidently it didn't take much armtwisting to send him to this one. At 81 he was the second oldest delegate. Lane and Betty have sold their house in Lebanon and have moved to the Willow Springs Condominium in Hanover.

Art Kneerim, who gave us such a great account of the reunion in the Campaigner, has generously provided the following item: Jack and Peg Zellers have been spending a quiet time in one of their favorite retreats, the Weekaupaug Inn at Westerly, R.I. They first discovered the hideaway 40 years ago and have often gone back since for grand quiet, grand water view, and grand cuisine. But does the water look any different there than it does in Southport, Conn.?

He also transmits a rumor that WaltMcKee has moved north from Hilton Head but has not as yet supplied a new address. Nice try, Walt, but an exercise in futility. Ed Flanders will find you wherever you are.

Finally, Art provides food for thought by pointing out that, at our commencement in 1928, those alumni then celebrating their 60th reunion must have included at least one veteran of the War Between the States (or the Civil War, if you prefer).

Class members, no doubt, were delighted to receive a letter from Carolyn H.Salsgiver '88 expressing thanks for the scholarship provided her by the class in her freshman year. It is nice to be so thoughtfully assured that our efforts are truly appreciated.

Two of our classmates, recently, have been in the body shop for repairs: LarryMartin for a hip job and George Davis for a lens implant. Both report complete satisfaction. Replacements for worn body parts seem to be getting better and better a cheerful thought for lots of us.
