John Ryder, one of the early North Fayerweather tennis/squash phenoms, is now practicing law (real estate, probate) in Lakeville, Mass. John is a trustee of the Middleboro Savings Bank, St. Lukes Hospital, and the "Legal Services of Cape Cod and the Islands." On the Big Green side, John is assuming the presidency of the Southeastern Mass Dartmouth Club. He and his wife, Carla, have two sons, John Jr. 14 and Jeffrey 12. According to John, former roommate Larry Peltola is a confirmed Californian deep into real estate development.

Speaking of Californians, Steve Weiner brings us up to date from Los Angeles. Some seven years ago Steve was a founding partner in Solish, Jordan and Weiner, attorneys-at-law in Los Angeles. Steve specializes in franchising, commercial, and administrative law, and insurance liability and coverage matters. The firm now has 12 attorneys and a half-dozen paralegals who operate out of a new suite of offices on Wilshire Boulevard . . . certainly a long way from 411 Gile Hall. On the up-close and personal side, Steve writes:

"Three years ago, I was blessed to find the love of my life, Marilyn, and we were married one year ago at the Self Realization Fellowship Lake Shrine in Pacific Palisades. We now live together in Pacific Palisades with my nine-year-old daughter, Nicole. Marilyn and I honeymooned in Acapulco and -the day after I send this letter, we will be celebrating our first anniversary in Hawaii.

"We are now preparing for retirement on a Crealock 37 and hope to sail off into the sunset to cruise the trades in the not-toodistant future."

Steve's son David, 25, is studying computers and daughter Alison, 24, is a successful oil painter in Santa Monica Canyon. Nicole is taking fourth grade by storm and cruising through the original Nancy Drew mystery novels.

Steve reports that Chuck Gelman has a thriving public relations firm while JohnHolland practices medicine in the Newport Beach area. Carl Herbold, a mid-life attorney, is practicing his wares in Riverside, Calif. Steve welcomes any '62s who may be in the LA area to make contact.
