Both the news and days are short this month, but at least the news of '62s is generally positive. Take, for example, Brock Saxe, who was recently elected chairman of the board of the New Canaan (Conn.) Bank and Trust Company. Brock, his wife, Barbara, and four sons live in New Canaan and he operates a restaurant business (Tombrock Corporation) out of neighboring Stamford.

Another director on board is Tom Cutter, elected by the National Environmental Group, Inc., of Philadelphia, Pa. Tom is president of the Cutter Company, a ceramics firm based in Waltham, Mass. He and his wife, Sasiree, live in nearby Weston. Two sons, John and james, have presumably cut loose from the Cutters but daughter Pimsiree is still receiving food stamps from home as a Dartmouth sophomore.

The Super Bowl edition of Sports Illustrated referenced Jay Moyer, but not in its "Faces in the Crowd" feature. Jay is counsel to the National Football League, and was quoted in regard to the stories of NFL drugtesting irregularities. Someone should have tested the Broncos for ingesting downers.

Back to uppers, plans for 1962's 50th birthday celebration in Washington, D.C., (May 4-6) are heading into the home stretch. Tom Komarek has arranged for the Saturday dinner to be held at the House Caucus Room in the Capitol. Our speaker that evening will be Doug Walgren, U.S. representative from Pennsylvania's 18th District. Master of ceremonies, you ask?. . . none other than Tom Green, our Sachem orator, but minus his jackass this time. There is still time to get on board for the 62/50 affair!
