A November 17, 1988, article in The New York Times quoted GeorgeSeielstacl, assistant director of the government's National Radio Astronomy Observatory, on the reasons for the collapse of a 300-foot radiotelescope at Green Bank, W.Va. The article suggests that George enlightened its author on a number of fascinating points about radiotelescopes and radioastronomy in general. More recently, in an unrelated development, The Times book review section gave George a favorable review of his new book entitled At the Heart of the Web: The Inevitable Genesis of Intelligent Life (Harcourt Brace Jovanovich).

Goody Gilman brings us up to date on the adventures of his children, all of whom wore, or are wearing, the Green. Daughter Gayle '85, who had previously worked for the Chicago advertising firm of Leo Burnett, is now with McCann Erickson working on the New York "Coke" account. Son Andrew '87 is also in New York with Morgan Stanley, and son Matthew is a member of the class of '92. Goody adds, with an unmistakable sigh of relief, "Thankfully, no more!"
