Our mini-reunion October 14-15 was just a beautiful one with fall colors at peak and the weather warm. Thirty or more classmates attended and were treated to a full moon over Dartmouth Hall and an excellent bonfire.

Then as is the custom we all gathered in the Faculty Lounge for beverage and fellowship. The following were in attendance: Bob and B.T. Baum, Bob and MargoNutt, Vail and Barbara Haak, RichieHunt, Punchy and Doris Thomas, MikeMcGean, John Stearns, Bill and BethGriffiths, Jay and Barbara Rosenfield,Dean and Florence Merrill, Jim and Barbara Huntington, Skip and Manya linger, Bill and Bookie Cribbens, Ken andGlenda McClain, Allen Brooks, Dougand Gracie Parsons, Bill and JoycelinYates, John and Ginny Daukas, Paul andGinny Bjorklund, Luke and Marty Soule,Bob and Phyllis Swift, Irl and BarbaraMarshall, Ray and Pat Bankert, TomSwartz, Gil Nelson, Jim and Joyce Zafris,Jeff and Evie Farnum, Ed and MargeClogston, George and Ann Hartman,Carll and Barbara Tracy, Pete and AnnLord, Jim and Joan Sullivan, Sam Smith, and B. B. and Leigh Crawford.

Our class meeting was run by our new president, Vail Haak, and he reviewed some of the coming issues to affect the College as well as set forth the goals of his term of office. The objectives are: to increase the participation of classmates in class activities and in the Fund drives, to make more use of the executive committee in projects, and to establish a widows program.

The treasurer reported a sound financial condition as of the moment but expressed concern for the financial drain caused by supplying the Alumni Magazine to those who fail to contribute their dues. It was concluded efforts would have to be made to try to determine which classmates really don't care to receive the magazine. There will be more on this in the newsletter.

Our head class agent, Irl Marshall, and assistant Jay Rosenfield, reported that our class has slipped in the amount of giving versus other classes and other comparative institutions. It is their hope that a renewed listening on the part of the administration and Trustees will begin to change prior concerns and allow those who tried to get attention through lower gifts to renew enthusiasm for higher gift giving.

The meeting ended with the election of John Stearns, now a local resident of Hanover, as vice president of the class to give backup to the president in the event of his absence.

The luncheon before the game and the dinner after helped make this the usual super weekend, as well as our speaker, Professor Don Pease, who gave us an understanding of the current teaching commitment of the faculty. The Pick Axe Award winner was announced as RichardN. Moersch and in the next Alumni Magazine the citation will be detailed.

The weekend ended with a bloody mary party at Punchy's new place on the Nor- wich-Thetford line. The next mini is October 13-14, 1990, so put this on your calendar as an outstanding opportunity for good fellowship, fall color, and another shot at beating the Bulldog.
