A letter of thanks from a classmate for the 1926 birthday good wishes had a P.S. "I hope you can read this I can't." Ken Andler was the writer and he is legally blind. Ken was delighted to know that the birthday card has the words of "Dartmouth Undying," which he had wanted to hear.

Seven out of eight 1926 officers attended Class Officers Weekend in Hanover, outnumbering all classes from 1919 to 1931. Only bequest chairman Kier Boyd could not attend because of his wife Marion's illness. After intensive, innovative, and enlightening business meetings Tubba andBarbara Weymouth hosted a class gathering at their home prior to dinner at the Norwich Inn. Those at the Weymouths were Sally Drury, Ed Emerson, Don andLou Norstrand, Ed and Ollie RaisbeckJr., George Scott, Les and Dot Talbot, and Art and Inez Wilcox.

North Hill, Needham, birthdays occur too frequently. Dick and Ruth Nichols celebrated Dick's together with Carl Schipper and his sister Ann, and Don and Lou Norstrand, followed closely by the April 30 birthday of Det Harwoodi, Chestnut Hill, recently returned from Florida, held at the Norstrands with the Schipper family and Marj Hopkins.

In Math 1 subtracting 1928 from 1988 equals 60. However, in March your scribe congratulated Worthy and Stubby Walters on their 50th anniversary. Result? "D" and an apology.

An historic publication from local Dartmouth archives recently was given to your secretary, a March 1896 issue of The Dartmouth Literary Monthly, Volume X, Number 5. Published eight times a year by seniors and juniors, it "endeavors to represent the literary spirit of Dartmouth and to entice the students to more careful and thorough work in the study of literature." What is of interest to 1926 is that Henry Langdon Parker's picture and biography are among others of the class of 1856 apparently in connection with their 40th Reunion. His son was Henry Langdon Parker Jr. 1885, and his grandson Henry LangdonParker III is our classmate. And Henry Langdon Parker IV graduated in 1963. Can there be more matching stories?
