Scoof Newton is planning a camping trip in September on Mt. Putney in southern Vermont with his son and possibly his granddaughter. Scoof is the cook (as he says, "at my family's risk").
Nort Caufield, regretting his inability to attend the Reunion, says he is "still above ground" but failing in health. He sends warmest greetings to the Class and is thinking of the good time he has missed.
Walt Von Lehn, who did attend the Reunion in June, reported sadly that he finally parted with his old reliable '64 Oldsmobile which had "worked like a watch and could stop on a dime." He said it was just well broken in and nicely loosened up and always got him where he wanted to go.
Bud and Isabel Brown celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary last March.
Francis Zahm wrote from Delray Beach, Fla., expressing her disappointment at missing the reunion due to a virus that laid her low. She is regretfully giving up her home outside of Buffalo; she and George had so many happy years there. She misses her neighbors, Marian Abel and Haven Blake, who are in the North but will return to their winter homes soon now.
Betty Koehler missed the Reunion to attend her granddaugher's graduation from the University of Oregon.
