The Commonwealth of Massachusetts deemed it proper for Larry Kennison to drive a car until September 23, 1993, now that his eyesight is acceptable. His left eye operation in December made this possible, and when his right eye is fixed will he be driving into the next century? The Alumni Fund in the Bay Colony will prosper with sharp-eyed Larry as regional agent seeing that every resident classmate will have an opportunity to support Dartmouth College.
Class president Tubba Weymouth contacted all class officers who have agreed to work together on arrangements for our 65th Reunion on June 7-9, 1991. Ed Emerson,Don Norstrand, Ed Raisbeck, GeorgeScott, Les Talbot, Tubba Weymouth, and Art Wilcox will be together for preliminary discussions at the Hanover C.O.W. Our social column notes that Mrs. Don(Marj) Hopkins enjoyed a long California holiday with her daughter, Jerry, and Marj takes pride in having four great-grandchildren. Mrs. Barbara Hayward Weymouth had a Palo Alto, Calif., vacation with daughter Mary Ann Harris, while Tubba stayed home in Hanover for a reunion with his sons Skip '54 and Ted '56, the latter accompanied by his daughter Mickey.
As of February 15 Hank Lamb, Freedom, N.H., reported total snowfall of five feet with still another month before spring. Undaunted, he enjoys snowshoeing on his 49-acre woodland. His '26 birthday greeting made him wonder the whereabouts of DickLamb, whose name he shares and who was with the class 1922-24. Dick now lives in Rapid City, S.D., and is still busy as president of Warren-Lamb Lumber Company.
In its June 1972 issue New England's well-known Yankee magazine was astute in featuring Ken Andler's story of his unexpected meeting in Hanover with our imaginary classmate George Ulyssess Lenson. Now in their March 1990 issue they have the delightful true and amusing story written by Mrs. Dick (Betty) Eberhart about her 1964 purchase of a Norman Rockwell painting at an auction at Dartmouth College for $450 which some 20 years later sold for $15,000. These two stories are highly recommended.
