Lucy Briggs wrote on April 5 that her son Everett E. Briggs had been confirmed as ambassador to Portugal. Our hearty congratulations to the 1956 graduate whose career would make our late classmate, EllisBriggs, very happy.

Gail L. Sanderson, widow of Paul G. Sanderson Jr., '56, deserves our admiration for her courage and determination in obtaining a law degree recently. She has opened an office at 31 Bank Street, Lebanon, NH 03766, for the practice of law in the states of Vermont and New Hampshire. She is the daughter-in-law of our Dr. PaulG. Sanderson.

Now, I quote briefly from a commentary by Joseph Sobran: "But Ogburn couldn't single-handedly destroy a cultural myth so beloved and prestigious. Probably no argument can. Still, readers with open and curious minds on the Shakespeare authorship may want to read William PlumerFowler's Shakespeare Revealed in Oxford'sLetters (published by Peter E. Randall)."

Vance Clark wrote on a green card, "In June I go to Williamsburg for my grand-son's graduation at William and Mary. Next year our 70th."
