Ed Brummer wrote that Hanover had informed him that classmates desiring accommodations at the Inn for our 60th should apply ASAP. Assignment of our dormitory and headquarters was scheduled to have been established in an August meeting.

In early June Hanover sent questionnaires to alumni of classes holding reunions in 1991 to bring to date information on file at Blunt. Please complete and mail these to the Alumni Affairs Office because the information sought is invaluable to those of us whose job is to keep up with all of you.

On the subject of questionnaires we class officers received one from the Alumni Affairs Office following Class Officers Weekend of last April. Comments on the program were solicited, and I obliged as follows.

For each future C.O.W. program I proposed that the principal item be an address on the state of Dartmouth College, and that it be made by the president of the College or by the chairman of the the Board of Trustees. Further I proposed that such address cover all current matters and issues, as well as plans for the future.

If such an item could be included I would hope that the address be followed by a question and answer session during which a panel of authorized College administrators would field questions from the floor; and that copies of the address and question and answer session would be sent to the alumni.

The rationale behind this proposal is the need, in my opinion, for detailed, official information about Dartmouth and plans for the College's future reaching the alumni as quickly as possible, and on a date to which all of us can look forward.

Comments on the foregoing are invited from readers, and while you are at it, I more importantly, your classmates could use some news from '31ers for this column.
